Seed of Hope Outreach Ministry, Inc. founded in 2001, was birthed out of a need to genuinely, show Gods' love, mercy, kindness, forgiveness, acceptance and compassion to the homeless, after seeing first hand and hearing similar stories from homeless individuals, how they were not getting the help they needed but were being used to promote, to the public a "Homeless" project. Thus, causing many homeless individuals to reframe from attending church, believing that God doesn't care what happens to them, losing hope-having no where to turn to receive the physical or spiritual help needed to get off the streets. Seed of Hope is comprised entirely of volunteers, that responds compassionately, to the physical and spiritual needs of the homeless. Through our Outreach program "Mission Possible" volunteers literally, go into the woods and distribute non-perishable foods, drinks, clothing and Bibles to homeless families and individuals living there. We also, offer medical and legal referrals, bus passes, Greyhound bus tickets for those reunited with their families, mailing address, identification, shelter, rehabilitation, VA benefits and employment assistance. Our Mission is to alleviate homelessness, hopelessness and hunger among homeless individuals and families living in the woods of Central Florida. In addition, to fulfill the "Great Commission". Our goal is to restore homeless women and men living in the woods back into society as a whole person, confident, self-supporting, contributing member of the community again, by: HELPING them help themselves. OFFERING hope through the Word of God. PROVIDING the necessary training, support, mentorship, accountability, responsibility and needed resources. EQUIPPING them to walk in the fullness of their purpose and destiny (spiritually and physically). Reaching their highest potential. To prevent homelessness by educating individuals and families how to manage their finances and priorities.
