The first Noble Street Charter School campus opened its doors on August 19, 1999, to a freshman class of 127 students. Current enrollment at the flagship campus, now called Noble Street College Prep, is 510.The school is currently in the process of opening nine new Noble Street campuses by fall 2010. Six campuses - Prizker College Prep and Rauner College Prep in 2006, Rowe-Clark Math and Science Academy and Golder College Prep in 2007, and UIC College Prep and Gary Comer College Prep in 2008- have opened. Two new campuses will open in the fall of 2009, and one in the fall of 2010. At capacity, enrollment at all nine campuses will total more than 4,500 students. Expanding our capacity will help Noble Street achieve its vision: 2,020 new college graduates by the year 2020.Founded by Superintendent Michael Milkie and his wife Tonya Hernandez Milkie in partnership with Northwestern University Settlement Association, Noble Street Charter School fosters an atmosphere of high expectations, self-discipline, and unconditional support that will equip students on every campus to continue their education beyond high school and eventually live and work successfully in the broader society.Noble Street was founded on the core values of scholarship, discipline, and respect. Our college-prep curriculum focuses on the basics: reading, writing, math, and science, with an emphasis on community service and physical fitness. Technology is integrated into all subject areas.
