Temporary Cash Assistance Program Description: Temporary Cash Assistance (TCA), Maryland’s Temporary Assistance to Needy Families (TANF) program, provides cash assistance to families with dependent children when available resources do not fully address the family’s needs and while preparing program participants for independence through work. Eligibility Family must cooperate with child support Participate in work activities Comply with substance abuse provisions Must meet financial and technical eligibility requirements Earned and unearned income cannot exceed the benefit level paid for the assistance unit size Sanctions may be imposed for not complying with program requirements. Families may also file an application for assistance with child care costs. Where to Apply: Apply online:  Go to  https://mydhrbenefits.dhr.state.md.us/  to file your application. Apply at your  Local Department of Social Services  in person. You may also file an application by mail, fax or other electronic means or someone may drop an application off for you.

    I Received a recon letter and I’m trying to recon I tried to call n keep getting voice mail but I mailed out the forms that Department of Social Services to Dunbar- Orangeville given me I was supposed to get a phone call n I never have, nothing has changed in my case.

    I have not received my benefits yet I have checked my dhr account and I see that I have a old pending case and that Intold was closed and a new case pending. When I call the customer service number to get some clarification on what's happening to my case, when I call I'm not able to get any information and I'm told that someone will call that been a month ago. I NEED ASSISTANCE ASAP

    You tried to call through you press one for English and then the two to be able to speak to somebody and a recording comes on saying all representatives are busy please call back later. I've been calling for two days now and it repeats the same message so apparently nobody's able to even get through.
