Client Services The vast experience held by the Four A’s staff provides the agency with a strong understanding of the issues, concerns, and the needs of individuals living with HIV/AIDS.   Case management helps clients and their families make informed decisions based on the client’s needs, abilities, resources and personal preferences. It also helps to assist individuals to navigate through the sometimes difficult and confusing social service systems to gain the necessary resources to best meet their needs. Case management services include intensive and mobile case management, assistance with medical care and medical providers, medications, housing, mental health and substance abuse treatment, transportation, and nutritional needs. Case Managers assist individuals to access mainstream resources such as Social Security Insurance, Alaska Public Assistance, Medicaid, and Medicare, evaluate health insurance options, and access other support services to help achieve outcomes that will improve the client’s clinical status. Additionally, the Four A’s helps individuals across the state access the AIDS Drug Assistance Program.        The Four A’s accepts and respects all people without regard to race, age, gender, religious belief, sexual orientation, disability, ethnicity or lifestyle. The Four A’s has taken extensive steps to ensure the confidentiality and needs of clients.  To further reduce barriers, the Four A’s works collaboratively with other service providers to minimize service duplication, eliminate fragmented services and ensure full access to a continuum of care.

“The Mission of the Alaskan AIDS Assistance Association (Four A's) is to support and empower people living with or affected by HIV/AIDS and to work toward the elimination of HIV infection and its stigma in all Alaskan communities.”
