Since 1994, The Enterprise Corporation of the Delta (ECD), a private, nonprofit community development financial institution, has provided critical financial and technical assistance to more than 1,600 firms and entrepreneurs in the impoverished Delta regions of Arkansas, Louisiana and Mississippi. ECD's mission is to improve the quality of life in the Delta by helping entrepreneurs and companies, including those owned by minorities and women, and by developing strategic partnerships with other private, public and non-profit sector organizations.

Begun in 1994 as an outreach ministry of the St. Andrew's United Methodist Church, St. Andrew's Mission, Inc. works in partnership with poor families to help them achieve economic and social self-sufficiency. We operate as a HUD Family Investment Center in cooperation with the McComb Housing Authority to offer residents workshops in parenting, GED, job skills and life skills. We used the Shalom Community model and AmeriCorps*VISTA Volunteers to expand our outreach to the impoverished sections of North McComb, Summit and Magnolia in Pike Co. as well. We are a United Methodist Advance Mission Special and receive support from general contributions as well as HUD, MS Dept. of Education, Entergy Corporation and United Way.

The Mission of the Spina Bifida Association of America is to promote the prevention of spina bifida and to enhance the lives of all affected. The Association was founded in 1973 to address the specific needs of the spina bifida community and serves as the national representative of over 70 chapters. SBAA's efforts benefit thousands of infants, children, adults, parents and professionals each year.

To provide hope through programs, services and research to all Mississippians with diabetes, from our children to our seniors. We are only funded through donations, which come from the business community, private individuals, grants and special events. We are a grass roots organization, focusing on both children and adults with diabetes and providing whatever it takes to help  people live well.  We provide emergency assistance, we conduct school programs to educate school staff about caring for children with diabetes, community screenings to find those with undiagnosed diabetes,  health fairs to alert the public about diabetes,  educate health professionals through seminars with the latest diabetes technology and more.
