Blue Ridge Legal Services, Inc.'s mission is to provide free, high quality legal services in critical civil (i.e., not criminal) matters to households in the Shenandoah Valley and Roanoke Valley who could not otherwise afford an attorney. This mission is premised on the recognition that the American ideal of equal justice for all our citizens can only be achieved by providing the poor meaningful access to the judicial system. In today's society, the uneducated, disabled, and elderly are particularly vulnerable to loss of their legal rights due to their inability to hire an attorney to guide them through the legal maze.
